Covid 19 Safety Protocols
MANDATORY Safety Requirements

The primary safety requirements for the Run by the Creek 10K and 5K

  • Masks will be required at all times for participants, and volunteers.
  • Symptom surveys and temperature checks will be completed for all runners, race organizers and volunteers as they arrive for the event.
  • Additional mask will be available on site.
  • Ample space for social distancing will be provided in all areas; groups must not exceed more than 10 people.
  • We will frequently clean and sanitize the facilities, tables, and any touched areas throughout the day.
  • Signage will be displayed throughout to remind participants to practice best hygiene practices and social distancing.
  • Pre and post-race activities will be either reduced or eliminated to discourage crowd gathering.
  • Sanitization stations will be provided throughout the grounds for participants and volunteers.
  • We will assign “safety monitors” that will be on site to ensure safety protocol is followed and to answer participants questions.
  • Registration and sign up stations will require social distancing, with 6 ft distancing markers.
  • Social distancing will be required at the start gate with guide markers set at rows of 10 feet intervals and 6 foot markers will be placed along each row where the runners will stand.
  • The start will be held in waves of 50 runners, thereby staggering the start to insure there will be no grouping at the start area.
  • Water stations on the race course will be self-serve with bottled water available.
  • Food will not be served expect in closed containers.
